| Representatives
from Rianna's Fund travelled to Kisumu
in Kenya in early February 2004, to look into the purchase of appropriate
buildings for the Rianna Davenport Childrens Home.
Having returned on the 16th of February, we can report
that the result of the trip exceeded even our own hopes.

The prospective

| The group visited a
prospective site for the children's home in a village called Yala
(approximately 60 kms outside Kisumu). After the visit and much discussion
an offer was made to purchase the buildings and land. The day before the
group was due to fly back home the offer was accepted.
The most exciting
news is that the site is much bigger than we first anticipated
incorporating not only buildings suitable for the children's home, but
also the potential to incorporate a dining hall and playroom for
the orphans. We feel that instead of the 20 orphans we originally
thought we could help we will now be able to home at least 30. |
