Rianna's Furaha Children's
Home
Kisumu is a town on the shores of Lake
Victoria in Kenya. Like many areas of Africa, the population has been
devastated by AIDS and other tragedies. The Zion
Harvest Mission, headed by Bishop James Aweyo*, worked hard to
provide the orphans of these terrible events to help them escape from the
poverty they live in by providing support, shelter and education. Some of
these orphans have now graduated and are in turn helping the local
community.
Rianna's
Fund
was able to build a children's home in Yala, Kenya to provide accommodation
and education for at least 40 orphans.

*Sadly, James Aweyo passed away on the 27th of January
2006. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and the memory of
his vision and boundless energy and enthusiasm for the project will live
on at Rianna's Furaha Children's Home.
