The 6 boys in the photo are part of the India Sports Project. They were all school drop-outs before going along to football training.

From left to right they are:

Santosh , 14, returned to school in January and says it's sometimes hard to get up for the 6am training sessions! He now uses computers in school and has begun to think about becoming a software engineer.

Abraham Arun Kumar , 14, heard about the football training via his cousin's brother last year. He plays forward, supports Brazil, and enjoys English Literature at school.

Salom, likes Maths and plays mid-field. He supports Italy and enjoys watching football on TV with his friends at the After-school club.

Shiva , 14, goes to the After-school club to play Carom, a board game, and also to study. (There is no electric lighting in the slum houses).

Devakummar , 16, has been coming to sports training since it began and plays forward. He dropped out of school aged 12, but is now wants to learn more. His ambition is to become a professional footballer.
