Building Work 2005

Following a visit by the trustees late last year the contractor for the project was appointed and work started on the project for Riannas Children Home in Yala.

The work started in the middle of February 2005 and the project is due to last for at least 12 weeks. The construction and refurbishment should therefore be completed towards the end of May. 

Another visit by the trustees is currently being planned for the end of May. The aim of this trip is to see the finished building work and to implement the Management team to run the Home together with agreeing the furnishings, beds etc...( aswell as confirming the running costs for the Home).

We will be launching a sponsor the project scheme once the Home is open to the first orphans. The Home will cater for 20 boys & 20 girls in the Home.

 The next phase of the project will be to expand the Nursery school on the site.
