Sunday 16th May - Day 1
Land's End to Launceston - 80 miles
Mike had a great start to the massive task ahead of him,
the weather on Sunday made for a perfect start, the sun was shining and
there was a slight breeze to see him on his way.
Mike's friends and family were there to see him off, and
at 10.00am he put his feet on the pedals for the first of over 1000 miles.
We caught up with Mike 78 miles in - just 2 miles
from his intended first day target. He looked very confident and when he
set off again easily made Launceston by 3.30pm! |
